During the weekend, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa met with the community residents of Zone “A” CDA at the residence of the Baale of Abule Oluwa.
Hon. Olowa, while having a heart to heart discussion with the CDA members, reeled out some of the achievements of his administration as it affects their zone. While promising to do more, the Council Boss reminded the people on the cost effective measures the government put in place to ensure their areas are no longer prone to flooding and pleaded with the residents to maintain the drainages.
Welcoming the Executive Chairman was the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Comrade Adeboye Jabita, who thanked everyone for making it to the meeting as he used the moment to appreciate the Council boss for his endearing warm policies while assuring him of their total support in the coming elections.
While rounding off the Question and Answer session, the Zone “A” Community Development Association Members chorused a birthday song alongside the presentation of a cake, wishing the Honourable Chairman a long life in good health and Prosperity.
*BIDS FAREWELL TO LATE BAALE OF AKODO*
Honourable Olowa and his entourage proceeded to the ancient community of Akodo as he joined others in bidding the final farewell to the immediate past community head, Chief Mutafiu Adebayo Ogunlaja and his beloved wife, Chief Mrs. Noyinmot Ajiun Ogunlaja, who joined their ancestors last year.
*FETES WITH IYALOJA OF ORIMEDU*
The Executive Chairman proceeded with his train to the palace of the Onimedu of Orimedu as they were received by His Royal Majesty, Oba Yisa Toheeb Abidemi Oyedele (Oyetu the first) while a distinguished daughter of the soil, Mrs. Khadijat Kareem was decorated as the Iya-Oloja of Orimedu land
It was indeed a week of Easter celebrations coupled with lots of activities to felicitate and identify with residents of the Local Government as the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa continues to pursue people oriented programs and policies.
