In the usual practice of recognizing excellence among indigenous students of Ibeju Lekki , the Executive Chairman , Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa hosted two First Class graduates from the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU). They are Sanni Babatunde Yusuf, a native of Solu Alade who bagged a first class in Economics Education and Kazeem Tajudeen, a native of Adeba with a First Class Degree in Sociology.
The Council boss expressed happiness and congratulated the duo for making ibeju Lekki proud. He charged them to remain steadfast and focused in their future endeavours as more giant strides will be expected from them going forward .
The two graduates thanked the Chairman for the many heart warming initiatives of the administration particularly in the education sector. They were indeed grateful to the local government for the bursary award of last year which they both benefitted from .
The Chairman announced a cash award of N500,000.00 ( Five Hundred Thousand Naira ) each, to both of them. It is the belief of the local government that such gesture will go a long way in motivating the younger generation in the pursuit of excellence.
Other dignitaries present included Hon Temitope Sofwan Ogungbo, Executive Secretary for Education, Alhaji W.O. Onibeju, the NYCN State Treasurer, Comrade Ibrahim Ogunbanwo, Auditor, NYCN, Comrade Odubote Sodiq.
