FLAG-OFF OF THE 4.2KM ONOSA–FOKUMADE COMMUNITY ROAD

The flag-off of the 4.2km Onosa–Fokumade Community Road, a project that signals another milestone in the journey of development for our people. This road is not just an infrastructure; it is a pathway to greater opportunity, enhanced mobility, and economic growth for the entire axis. We must sincerely commend His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, for his visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to equitable development across all parts of the State. This project reflects his belief that no community should be left behind in the march towards progress. By investing in roads like this, Mr. Governor is laying the foundation for improved commerce, easier access to schools and healthcare, and a more connected Ibeju-Lekki. I must also extend heartfelt appreciation to our own Rt. Hon. Fatai Mojeed Adebola, Chief Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Member representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I. His relentless advocacy, facilitation, and unshaken dedication were pivotal in bringing this project to life. He has proven, once again, that true representation means using the instrument of governance to improve the lives of the people one serves. For us at the Local Government level, this project is a shared responsibility. We will continue to provide every necessary support to ensure that construction progresses smoothly and that the road is delivered in record time. Beyond building roads, our duty is to build trust and sustain the confidence our people have placed in government. Let us therefore unite as a community to safeguard this project, embrace the opportunities it will bring, and work hand in hand to make Ibeju-Lekki a model of growth and prosperity. Thank you, and may God bless Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa Executive Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government
