In line with our SHIEELD Agenda, myself and key officials of the Local Government visited a number of communities for pre-construction inspection of proposed infrastructural projects. The communities visited include Ayeteju, Malete, Akodo, Okegun, and Lagasa.
*Ayeteju Road Project*
The Local Government will soon commence the paving of Ayeteju Road, connecting it to the Lekki–Epe Expressway. This project includes the installation of solar-powered streetlights to enhance safety, accessibility, and mobility for residents.
*Malete Road Construction*
Preparations are in progress for the construction of Malete Road, which will provide a direct link to the Lekki–Epe Expressway, improving connectivity and easing travel for the community.
*Akodo Community Lighting*
We have finalized plans to install solar-powered streetlights in Akodo and other coastal communities, creating safer, brighter, and more secure environments for residents at night.
*Okegun Electrification*
This month, we will begin the long-overdue restoration of electricity to Okegun Odofin, Okegun Baale, and Okegun Madagbayun. This initiative underscores our commitment to restoring light and energy to our communities.
*Lagasa Water Project*
Together with our team of consultants, we evaluated the water challenges in Lagasa. The Local Government will soon construct a modern water production facility capable of serving at least 50 housing units, significantly improving living conditions and public health.
These initiatives reflect our unwavering dedication to fostering community development and enhancing the quality of life across Ibeju-Lekki. Together, we are building stronger, safer, and more prosperous communities for all.
