SENATOR MUKHAILU ADETOKUNBO ABIRU HOSTS INSPIRING RAMADAN LECTURE ON “GOOD REPRESENTATIVE” AT IBEJU-LEKKI CENTRAL MOSQUE, ELEKO

As Hon. Olowa appreciates the “doing good” Senator, calls for fear of God amongst elected representatives

Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, successfully hosted a spiritually enriching Ramadan lecture at the Ibeju-Lekki Central Mosque in Eleko on Saturday 28th February, 2026 with the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa in attendance.The event drew a large congregation of Muslim faithful, community leaders, and residents, fostering unity, reflection, and moral guidance during the holy month.

The lecture, themed “Good Representative”, emphasized the qualities of effective leadership, accountability, integrity, and selfless service to the people, principles drawn from Islamic teachings and relevant to public representation. It served as a timely reminder for leaders at all levels to embody justice, humility, and dedication in their roles.

The Chief Lecturer, Alh Abdul Hakeem Idunnu, delivered a profound and insightful discourse that resonated deeply with attendees, drawing on Quranic injunctions and prophetic traditions to illustrate the essence of true representation and good governance.

The Chief Host, Fadilat Sheikh Abdul Semiu Opeloyeru Ajayi, provided gracious leadership and spiritual oversight, ensuring the event proceeded smoothly while offering prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos East, and Nigeria at large.

A highlight of the occasion was the distinguished presence of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, whose attendance underscored the strong collaboration between elected representatives and local authorities in promoting community welfare and religious harmony.

The Mayor appreciated Senator Abiru for the annual Ramadan lecture and called on elective representatives to imbibe the fear of God and be good representatives.
