H.E ALHAJI OLABODE KASHIF OYEDELE (FCA), HOSTS ANNUAL RAMADAN LECTURE

As Hon. Olowa salutes his consistency in knowledge impact, calls on congregants to move closer to God

His Excellency Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele, a respected community leader and philanthropist (affectionately known as Baba Oba of Orimedu), successfully hosted the Annual Ramadan Lecture today Sunday 1st March, 2026 at the scenic Ocean Drive, Orimedu, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos with the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, ably represented by his Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji.

The event, a cherished yearly tradition during the holy month of Ramadan, featured an insightful and timely lecture delivered by renowned guest lecturer Sheikh Murthado Abdul-Gafar Arikewuyo.

The topic, *”Ramadan & Economic Resilience: Exploring Islamic Principles for Overcoming Financial Hardship”*, resonated deeply with attendees amid ongoing economic realities faced by many Nigerians. Sheikh Arikewuyo drew from authentic Islamic teachings, emphasizing principles such as patience, charity (sadaqah), prudent financial stewardship, reliance on Allah and community solidarity as practical tools for building personal and collective economic strength during times of difficulty.

Representing the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, was the Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji. Hon. Olatunji who conveyed the Chairman’s goodwill message, commending the host for sustaining this valuable initiative that promotes spiritual growth, education, and socio-economic empowerment within the community. He used the moment to call on the congregants to ensure that they live a life of piety and promote godliness.

The program included Quranic recitations, supplications for peace and prosperity in Nigeria, and interactive discussions that allowed attendees to reflect on practical applications of the lecture’s teachings in daily life.

The lecture was attended by a distinguished gathering of community leaders, religious scholars, government representatives, and residents from Orimedu and surrounding areas in Ibeju-Lekki and beyond.

Special dignitaries that graced the occasion includes Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola, member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1, Hon. Oladele Ajayi, member LAHA, representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 2, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Issa Maruf Olayinka, former Secretary to the Local Government, Lekki LCDA, Hon. Tosin Osinnuga, traditional rulers, community leaders, amongst others.
