RENEWED HOPE CONDITIONAL CASH TRANSFER: THIRD BATCH OF BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE ATM CARDS AS HON. OLOWA CHARGES BENEFICIARIES TO MAKE GOOD USE OF FUNDS

In a continued effort to alleviate poverty and empower vulnerable households, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, today Thursday 19th February, 2026 oversaw the distribution of ATM cards to beneficiaries in the third batch of the flagship Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme.

The event, which held at the Local Government Secretariat, marked another milestone in the administration’s commitment to social intervention and economic inclusion. Beneficiaries, carefully selected through transparent community-based verification processes, received their ATM cards, enabling access to financial support aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The programme, which targets 4,000 vulnerable residents across Ibeju-Lekki, selected from over 11,000 applicants, provides N100,000 per beneficiary over a 20-month period. This initiative supports low-income families, widows, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups in improving household stability, sustaining small businesses, and building resilience against socio-economic challenges.

In his address at the event, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa charged the beneficiaries to make judicious and productive use of the funds. “This cash transfer is not just financial assistance; it is an investment in your future and the future of our community,” the Chairman stated. “I urge each of you to utilize these resources wisely, prioritize essential needs, invest in income-generating activities, support your families, and contribute to the growth of Ibeju-Lekki. Together, we are building a more inclusive and prosperous society.”

The third batch distribution follows successful earlier phases, including the launch in November 2025 and the second batch handover in December 2025. The programme remains fully funded by the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government administration and continues to emphasize transparency, accountability, and direct impact on the most vulnerable.
