The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Wednesday 19th February, 2025 played host to the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) as they flagged off the maiden edition of the Ibeju-Lekki Youth Health Scheme tagged: Youth Health Matters, which held at Delight Estate, Lekki-Epe Express way. During his address, the Council boss thanked the Ibeju-Lekki and Lekki LCDA chapters of the National Youth Council of Nigeria for spearheading such a brilliant initiative in collaboration with the state organ of the youth council. Hon. Olowa used the moment to highlight his administration's strides in the health sector, noting that quality healthcare services are now accessible at well-equipped and adequately staffed Primary Health Centers located across the local government. He charged the youth body to continue to be good ambassadors of the society by coming up with similar laudable programs. The event brought together various indigenous medical professionals who rendered a range of free medical services to beneficiaries. Health services provided included Free eye check Dental care services HIV/AIDS screening and counseling Blood donations and many more. Present at the event were Hon. Al-Mubaraq Olamilekan Higara, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan, Dr. Kiki Omeli who was the keynote speaker, Ambassador Ibrahim Ogunbanwo, State Treasurer, NYCN Dr. Ibrahim Abdulrasaq of the Directorate of Health, NYCN, the CDC Chairman, Comrade Adeboye Jabita, Executive members of the NYCN Local branches.
