YEAR 2022 IBEJU-LEKKI FREE MASS ANTI-RABIES CAMPAIGN

IBEJU-LEKKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT OBSERVES STATES ANTI- RABIES CAMPAIGN PROGRAMME. The Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture in conjunction with Ibeju-Lekki Local Government recently observed the world Anti Rabies Day which is themed: "Facts not Fear". Residents of the Council Area who are dog owners benefitted from the free Anti- Rabies Vaccination Exercise organised to commemorate the day. Dr. Akapo,the Veterinary Doctor in charge and Mrs Oyafunke who were the representatives of the Lagos State Government also seized the opportunity to sensitize dog owners in surrounding villages within the Council Area on the importance of dogs being given Anti-Rabies Vaccines before stipulated age range. Communities that benefitted from the great opportunity were Lagasa, Iberekodo, Igando and other communities within the Council Area. The Department of Agriculture and Social Services were on ground to coordinate the exercise. Pet owners were also advised to vaccinate pets to prevent them from developing unwanted diseases.
