WARD B, E AND F: OLOWA PRESENTS SCORECARD AT RALLIES

A mammoth crowd of Ibeju-Lekki residents converged at different locations of Ward B, E and F for the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally. Clad in branded yellow shirts the crowd dominated the Council Area with pockets of political carnival. Thousands of citizens and party stalwarts trooped to Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) Primary School, Ayeteju, Open Space at Central Mosque, Bogije and Opposite Ologunfe at Awoyaya for the ward rallies. WARD B Roman Catholic Mission Primary School, Ayeteju brimmed with APC supporters. Banners were carried and slogans chanted to receive the party chieftains and members of the Campaign Council which includes, His Excellency Alhaji Bode Oyedele, Alhaji Tunde Isiaq, Hon. Tansiru Shoniyi, Hon. Idowu Eletu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy and Mineral resources, Hon. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, Hon. Muslim Folami, Director-General of the Campaign Organization, Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun, APC State Exco member, Hon. Balogun Gbenga Kazeem, Hon. Isiaka Logun Akinwunmi. APC standard bearer, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa and his Vice, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, made a grand entry into the venue, animating the crowd into a frenzy of joy. Reacting to the massive turnout, Hon. Olowa affirmed that the vast attendance further confirmed the strength of APC as the only party of choice in Ibeju-Lekki. WARD E At Ologunfe in Awoyaya, The Council Mayor sought the mandate of the Iwerekun I (Ward E) citizens for another term in office, saying the “Making Ibeju-Lekki Great for Everyone” he promised as the next agenda of his government would surely be visualised, given the achievements recorded during his first term. Hon. Olowa said the last three and half years had been fulfilling for his administration with the support of the populace, pointing out that his Government traversed difficult terrains to deliver on its development objectives. WARD F At Ward F, the Executive Chairman said activities of his administration, since inception, had been about purposeful governance. He added that his Government had delivered on health care, environment, education, security, social development. He said his Government had also raised the bar of infrastructure as it is evidenced in most parts of the Council Area. Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun said the party would have no problem taking its campaign to the electorate, given the “exceptional” performance of the party’s chairmanship candidate. Speaking further he said, the second coming of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa and his Deputy, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji would bring Ibeju-Lekki to new heights of development and prosperity. Party Leaders who spoke at the venue of all the campaigns stressed the need to have more voter turnout as this will not only make a statement according to them, but would place Ibeju-Lekki in a stronger position when negotiating for greater development and state-level attention. The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has scheduled the council elections for Saturday, July 12, with voting set to begin at 8:00 a.m. across polling units. Ibeju-Lekki, a fast-developing corridor of Lagos, is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the outcomes.
