Beneficiaries of the Ananse Fashion Incubator Programme have officially commenced training, turning a promising opportunity into a life-changing reality.
The initiative, sponsored by Ibeju-Lekki Local Government in partnership with the Ananse Centre for Design and the IshK Tolaram Foundation, reflects the commitment of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, to empowering young people through skills acquisition and economic inclusion.
Following a rigorous selection process, participants are receiving intensive training in fashion design, creative innovation, business development, and entrepreneurship. The programme provides access to professional mentorship and industry-standard skills, equipping beneficiaries with the knowledge and capacity needed to build successful careers within the fashion and creative sectors.
As a key intervention under the Education and Youth Development pillar of the SHIEELD Agenda, the programme demonstrates the Olowa administration's strategic investment in human capital development. Beneficiaries have described the initiative as a transformative opportunity, while reaffirming the administration's belief that empowering people with relevant skills remains the foundation for sustainable development and shared prosperity in Ibeju-Lekki.
