The Olowa led administration of ibeju-Lekki Local Government has once again embarked on a move to train and empower twenty students with various technical skills like Electrical Electronics, Welding, Plumber, amongst several other skills through partnership with Ade-Otukomaya Foundation in conjunction with Lagos Cooperative College and Henry Karll Training Institute. The Free Scholarship Training Programmes, which is estimated to cost Four Hundred Thousand (#400,000:00) naira each per student, will avail each of this students, the opportunity to be train and equip with respective Vocational and Technical skills of their choice and a City and Guide Technical Certificate will be issued to each participants after completion of the programmes. The Certificate which is globally recognize and accepted will avail each students opportunities to compete globally in their respective field with their counterparts across the globe and here in Nigeria. Recently, the Mayor granted Free Scholarship to over thirty (30) students of the Lagos Cooperative College through the ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Scholarship initiative to indigene students, most of whom turn out to welcome the helmsman, at his arrival on a working visit to the college. Attendees during the working visit were, personal Assistant to the Executive Chairman, Mr. Adewale Adejumo Moore, Supervisor for Education, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan, Special Assistant on Education, Comrade Oladimeji Ibrahim, The Chief Technical Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Mr. Yemi Azeez.
