MAYOR OLOWA PROVIDE POINTERS ON ENHANCING INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE. An enlarged Revenue Committee Meeting was held at the Council Secretariat. The meeting was presided over by the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa who intimated the seating on the plans of his Administration to boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). Some of the Council Chairman's brief entails reverting to the Automated System of transactions which enables payment of Tolls, Rates and Levies with codes, a system that makes payment easy for Revenue Payers. In the same vein, Hon. Olowa reiterated on the need for assessment of Revenue Officers to know their capabilities in the aggressive income generation to be embarked upon by the Council this year. In addition, Hon. Olowa emphasised on the commitment of his led Administration to provide work tools and enabling environment for productivity while promising Revenue Officers adequate remuneration when stipulated targets are met. The Mayor also hyped on massive Physical and Electronic Advocacy to intimate the public on the importance of IGR. The Council Manager on behalf of the house applauded the good gesture of the Executive Chairman and promised targets will be met and surpassed. Also at the meeting were the Council Manager, Engr. (Mrs) Akitoye Olubunmi, Council Treasurer, Mr Onabanjo Sunday other Management Members and Revenue Committee Members amongst others.
