LASUMA PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO HON. ABDULLAHI SESAN OLOWA, SEEKS PARTNERSHIP FOR 2025 AGM AND SUPPORT FOR INDIGENT STUDENTS

The leadership of the Lagos State University Muslim Alumni Association (LASUMA) today paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, at the Council Secretariat, Igando-Oloja, Lagos. The delegation, led by the National President of LASUMA, Professor Abdulazeez Lawal Anjorin, was received warmly by the Council Chairman. The visit provided an opportunity for LASUMA to formally introduce its executive committee to the Executive Chairman and to solicit the support and partnership of Hon. Olowa ahead of the Association’s forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Reunion scheduled for 2025. Professor Anjorin commended Hon. Olowa for his exemplary leadership and developmental strides in Ibeju-Lekki, expressing confidence that the Council Chairman would extend his usual benevolence to the cause of educational empowerment of Muslim youths in Lagos State University (LASU). In his response, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa expressed delight at the visit and lauded LASUMA for its consistent efforts in promoting educational excellence and supporting indigent students over the years. He assured the delegation of his administration’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that would be of great benefit. Members of the LASUMA delegation in attendance included: Professor Abideen Tijani – Chairman, 2025 AGM Planning Committee Mr. Mushafau Ige – Secretary, 2025 AGM Planning Committee Dr. Dhikroh Sulaimon – 2nd Vice Chairman, LASUMA Alhaji Imam AbdulAkeem Oshodi – Ex-Officio Member, LASUMA The visit ended on a cordial note with group photographs and renewed commitment to sustained collaboration between LASUMA and the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government administration.
