SCRAP VENDORS: HON. OLOWA CALLS FOR PROPER IDENTIFICATION AND BEST STANDARD PRACTICE FOR BUSINESS

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Thursday 23rd January, 2025 held a brief meeting with vendors of metal scrap popularly referred to as "bola". In the course of the meeting, the Council boss expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the scrap vendors litter the streets and pollute the environment. Speaking further, Hon. Olowa informed the representatives of the vendors that a comprehensive database will be taken to identify genuine scrap operators so as to flush out criminal elements. Mallam Biliyaminu Mani, head of the scrap metal operators, assured the Executive Chairman of the association's maximum cooperation and that there will be a comprehensive list of all genuine business operators.
