LAGOS STATE EDUCATION DISTRICT III CONCLUDES 2026 ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL WITH INSPIRING THEME "IGNITE THE FIELD, REACH FOR THE LAUREL"

Lagos State Education District III today Wednesday 25th March, 2026 successfully concluded its 2026 Annual Sports Festival at the Elemoro Junior High School Sports Complex. The event, themed "Ignite the Field, Reach for the Laurel", aims to promote sportsmanship, healthy competition, talent discovery, and holistic development among students across the district. The colourful closing ceremony brought together students, teachers, school administrators, and sports enthusiasts from the four zones in Education District III, Epe, Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki, and Lagos Island. The festival provides a vibrant platform for young athletes to showcase their skills in various sporting disciplines while fostering unity, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, was represented at the event by his Supervisor for Education, Hon. Agbaje Sodiq Olajide. Other notable dignitaries, education stakeholders, and government officials were also in attendance to lend their support to this important youth development initiative.
