Abiola Okanlawon Olowu and the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, it has been confirmed that, Oribanwa/Lagasa Dredging site has fully complied with the government's directives. This compliance follows the issuance of immediate stop-work orders earlier yesterday, demonstrating the positive impact of the state's crackdown on operations that threaten environmental integrity. The stop-work orders, enforced by the office of the Special Adviser were part of a broader initiative to curb environmental degradation, prevent ecological damage to vital waterways, and promote sustainable development across Lagos State. What began as a firm directive to halt illegal dredging has now evolved into voluntary compliance from the affected operators.
