The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon (Engr) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Thursday hosted the sixth batch of beneficiaries under the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, as 200 residents received their disbursements at the Local Government Secretariat.

The Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, a federal social investment initiative implemented in collaboration with the Lagos State Government and local government councils, is designed to cushion the effects of economic hardship on vulnerable households and strengthen the social safety net for low-income earners across the state.
Speaking at the exercise, the Supervisor for Agric and Social Services, Hon. Olusola Edalere reaffirmed the administration's commitment to the seamless and transparent disbursement of the funds, noting that beneficiaries were verified in line with the Federal Government's guidelines to ensure that the intervention reaches genuinely vulnerable persons within the Council.
Beneficiaries who spoke shortly after receiving their payments expressed gratitude to the Federal and Lagos State Governments, as well as the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, describing the intervention as timely and impactful for their households.
The Local Government management used the occasion to encourage residents yet to be captured under the scheme to remain patient, assuring that subsequent batches would continue to be processed as more beneficiaries are verified and enrolled.
The exercise was conducted in an orderly manner, with officials on ground to guide beneficiaries through the verification and payment process.
