IBEJU-LEKKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT TO EMBARK ON MASSIVE DESILTING OF BOGIJE DRAINAGES.

Following the late torrential rain and incessant flooding being experienced lately in Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos State at large, the Local Government under the leadership of her proactive Mayor, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa will be commencing massive desilting and evacuation of drainages around Bogije and its environs. This move is pertinent to prevent damages caused by flooding being experienced in various communities of the Council Area. It is also a measure to enhance easy flow of rain water and easy vehiclelar and human movements during this period. The Council helmsman hereby enjoin residents to give maximum support to the Environmental Services Department of the Local Government who will be coordinating the exercise for effective service delivery. The Local Government is, however, committed to ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment and should be called upon for related issues when the need arises for onward action.
