(Engr) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa MNSE, calls for sustained cleanliness* The Supervisor for Market and Revenue, Ahmed Ajibola Elemoro, alongside the Market Monitoring Team on Thursday 7th May, 2026 conducted an extensive inspection tour across major markets within Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area to ensure strict compliance with the environmental sanitation exercise observed every Thursday. The monitoring exercise covered the following markets: Eleko Market, Kara Market, Bogije Market, Lakowe Market and Ogunfayo Market. During the visit, traders and market stakeholders were sensitized on the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment to promote public health, safety, and orderly market operations. Hon. Elemoro emphasized that environmental sanitation remains a critical responsibility for all market users and reiterated the commitment of the local government to enforcing sanitation regulations across all markets in the council area. According to him, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon.
