The Shapati Culvert Project has recorded another major milestone, with construction now advancing into its final structural phase following the successful completion of key concrete works.
What started as the replacement of an aging canal crossing has evolved into a modern, purpose-built infrastructure designed to better serve the community. With the main concrete components now substantially completed, the new culvert has taken its permanent shape, showcasing the remarkable transformation achieved through consistent progress on site.
The project features a multi-cell reinforced concrete culvert complemented by side wing walls, representing a significant improvement over the former crossing. Upon completion, the upgraded structure will provide enhanced durability, improved water flow capacity, and reliable long-term service for residents and road users.
This achievement underscores the ongoing commitment of the administration of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa to delivering impactful infrastructure that improves connectivity, supports development, and enhances the quality of life across communities in Ibeju-Lekki under the SHIEELD Agenda.
