The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, under the administration of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Tuesday 5th May, 2026 flagged off the construction of a box culvert in Shapati Town. This critical infrastructure project is part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to improving connectivity and addressing environmental challenges within the council area. The culvert is designed to serve as a vital link between neighboring communities, enhancing ease of movement for residents, businesses, and commuters. In addition to improving accessibility, the culvert will play a key role in channeling floodwater away from roads and residential areas, thereby reducing the risk of flooding and its associated impacts. The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government remains committed to infrastructural development and will continue to implement initiatives that promote economic growth, environmental sustainability, and community well-being. Present at the flag off were the Council Manager, Dr. Adekoya Augustine, the Council Engineer, Engr. Kamiyo Tijani, amongst others.
