IBEJU-LEKKI LG CELEBRATES COMMUNITY DAY WITH THE CDC IN RENEWED COMMITMENT TO COLLABORATION AND DEVELOPMENT

The vibrant Ibeju-Lekki community members came together today for its annual Community Day celebration, a cherished event that highlights the spirit of unity, progress, and partnership between residents, the Community Development Committee (CDC), and Local Government Authorities. The occasion served as a platform for reflection on shared achievements and forward-looking dialogues on sustainable growth for the area. In his address, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, extended heartfelt appreciation to the CDC for their exemplary dedication and tireless efforts in advancing community welfare. "The crop of CDC Excos has done well in their collaborative efforts with the government as the impact is showing” Hon. Olowa remarked. " We are profoundly grateful for this unwavering commitment." The Council boss also assured them that the government will continue to ensure its best in meeting their needs. The event also featured remarks from the CDC Chairman, Comrade Jabita Adeboye, who reciprocated the remarks with equal enthusiasm. He eulogized the mayor for his visionary leadership and responsive administration, noting that, under the Chairman’s guidance, Ibeju-Lekki has seen unprecedented progress. His administration's focus on inclusivity and efficiency has earned the trust of every resident. In a show of solidarity, the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman remarked "You can count on our 100 percent support in every endeavor. United, we will continue to build a brighter future for Ibeju-Lekki." The Community Day festivities included a road show which drew hundreds of participants from across the local government area. The programme is a 3-day event which is expected to come to an end on Saturday, 8th November, 2025
