The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on 10th June, 2026 inaugurated the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Health Authority, entrusting the newly constituted body with the responsibility of providing strategic direction and oversight for healthcare delivery across the council area.
The inauguration signals a renewed focus on strengthening the local healthcare system and ensuring that residents have greater access to quality, efficient, and community-centered health services.
Addressing its members, Hon. Olowa emphasized the importance of their role in shaping policies, monitoring programmes, and supporting initiatives that will improve health outcomes at the grassroots level. He urged them to bring their expertise, experience, and commitment to bear in advancing the health agenda of the local government.
The Chairman noted that a functional healthcare system remains fundamental to sustainable development, adding that government alone cannot achieve lasting progress without the active participation of healthcare professionals and community stakeholders.
