The Medical Director of Ibeju-Lekki General Hospital, Dr. Mrs. Ime Okon, on the 6th January , 2026 paid a courtesy thank-you visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, at the Council Secretariat in Igando-Oloja. The visit expressed profound gratitude for the unwavering support provided by the Local Government during the successful hosting of the Lagos State First Baby of the Year 2026 programme at the hospital. On January 1, 2026, Ibeju-Lekki General Hospital proudly welcomed Baby Oluwadare (male, 2.9kg), delivered at exactly midnight, as Lagos State's symbolic first baby of the year. Hon. Olowa warmly welcomed Dr. Mrs. Okon and commended the hospital's management and staff for their dedication to quality healthcare delivery. He reiterated his administration's unwavering commitment to partnering with health institutions to improve maternal and child health services across the local government.
