IBEJU-LEKKI COUNCIL SUPPORTS CAMPAIGN ON ERADICATION OF POLIO VIRUS: EMBARKS ON 2ND ROUND IMMUNISATION OF CHILDREN AGE 0-5

Following the proactiveness of the Lagos State to eradicate the Polio Virus in Nigeria despite the pronouncement in Year 2020 that Nigeria is free of the deadly virus. It has been observed that a new Polio Variant just discovered can be transmitted back into the country.Ibeju-Lekki Local Government under the leadership of Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa has been picked as one of the Local Government to champion the aforementioned Campaign and Immunisation programme.Consequently, supporting the campaign of Polio Virus free Lagos State, the Council Mayor enjoins Parents, Guardian, Schools, Creches, Churches and other related organizations within the Council Area to submit their Children and Wards Age 0-5 for Immunization.The Exercise is a 4 Day Programme which commenced on Saturday 14th and will end on Tuesday 17th May, 2022.
