IBEJU-LEKKI COUNCIL EMBARKS ON DESILTING AND EVACUATION OF DRAINAGES

In a bid to prevent environmental disasters caused by flooding, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government under the leadership of Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa has embarked on massive desilting and evacuation of drainages within the Council Area. This is in fulfilment of the 4th agenda of the Mayor Olowa led Administration which is Environmental Sustainability. It is also a proactive measure to reduce if not totally eradicate mosquito, rats infestation, flooding and other environmental hazards prone to the wet season. This measure is a continuous exercise which will go round every community of the Council Area. Residents are therefore enjoined to corporate with Environmental Officers and personnel on field to maintain a healthy and beautiful environment.
