The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Monday 10th November, 2025 hosted a landmark Police-Youth Dialogue at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Council Secretariat, bringing together over 200 youth leaders, representatives from the Lagos State Police Command, and community stakeholders. The event, themed "the power of partnership: cultivating trust and understanding between youths and law enforcement agencies" underscores the administration's commitment to fostering trust, collaboration, and proactive security measures in this rapidly developing economic hub of Lagos State. In his welcome address, Hon. Olowa expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, and officials of the ministry for choosing Ibeju-Lekki as host. He emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue between youths and security operatives as a foundation for community peace and safer neighborhoods. He commended participants for their willingness to contribute to an engaging and solution-driven conversation, noting that youths remain critical stakeholders in building a secure and progressive Lagos. The program featured interactive sessions, experience sharing, and joint recommendations aimed at sustaining peaceful coexistence and proactive security measures across communities in the division. The event was widely described as impactful, insightful, and a positive step toward strengthening community-police relations for the greater development of Lagos State.
