In a determined effort to boost internally generated revenue and ensure proper documentation of business activities, the Supervisor for Markets and Revenue in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Ahmed Ajibola Elemoro on Monday 30th March, 2026 embarked on a comprehensive sensitization exercise across the area. The exercise, which focused on educating shop owners and traders on the importance of revenue compliance, also included the enumeration and registration of shops. Hon. Elemoro, working under the progressive administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, was accompanied by Revenue Officers of the Council. The sensitization drive, which extended into the evening hours, aimed to foster better understanding among market operators regarding their civic responsibilities, promote voluntary compliance with local government revenue laws, and strengthen the Council's revenue base for improved service delivery to residents. The exercise is expected to be a continuous effort across various wards and market clusters in the Local Government Area.
