The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Saturday 30th May, 2026 led the monthly environmental sanitation exercise across the Local Government Area.

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on Saturday 30th May, 2026 led the monthly environmental sanitation exercise across the Local Government Area, demonstrating continued commitment to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for residents.

The Chairman was joined by the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly to represent Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1, , Hon. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, who actively participated in the exercise. The joint participation underscored the importance of collaboration between the Local Government and the party structure in promoting environmental cleanliness and public health.

Speaking during the exercise, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa emphasized the significance of the monthly sanitation program:
"Today's exercise is more than a routine activity; it is a demonstration of our selflessness and collective dedication to building a neat and healthy environment for our people. I commend the House of Assembly candidate ahead of the 2027 polls, Hon. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, for his personal commitment and support. Together, we will continue to prioritize environmental sanitation as a foundation for the progress and well-being of Ibeju-Lekki."

Hon. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, while commending the Chairman's leadership, reiterated support for grassroots environmental initiatives and called on residents to maintain high standards of cleanliness beyond the designated sanitation days.

The sanitation exercise saw active participation from Supervisors, community leaders, and residents, with thorough cleaning of major streets, markets, drainages, and public spaces carried out successfully.

The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government remains committed to regular sanitation exercises and sustained environmental management as part of its broader goal of delivering good governance and improving the quality of life for all residents.
