The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on 25th June, 2026 embarked on an inspection tour of ongoing and proposed infrastructural projects across the Local Government, reinforcing his administration's focus on delivering critical infrastructure that improves the lives of residents.
The inspection began at Shapati Community, where the Chairman assessed the progress of the box culvert construction being facilitated by the Local Government. Upon completion, the project will improve drainage, enhance connectivity, and ease the movement of residents and motorists within the community.
Despite the heavy rainfall, Hon. Olowa proceeded to Lakowe to inspect the ongoing Adeba-Lakowe Road project alongside the contractor, O2S Construction Limited. He expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that the project is approaching completion and will soon be opened for public use.
The Chairman also visited Jamiu Eletu Street at Container Bus Stop, Awoyaya, where he inspected the road and assured residents that construction work will commence soon as part of the administration's efforts to improve road infrastructure across Ibeju-Lekki.
The inspection tour continued to Gbetu Community, where Hon. Olowa met with traders operating along the proposed road corridor. He appealed to them to relocate from the project alignment, explaining that construction is scheduled to begin within the next two weeks.
Speaking during the tour, the Chairman said his administration will continue to prioritise projects that improve mobility, support economic activities, and enhance the well-being of residents across the Local Government.
The inspection underscores the administration's hands-on approach to project delivery and its determination to ensure that ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects are executed efficiently for the benefit of all residents of Ibeju-Lekki.
