The leadership of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), led by its Chairman, Hon. Sewanu Odufowora, paid a courtesy call on the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, to felicitate with him on his emergence as Chairman of Conference 57 in Lagos State. Hon. Olowa warmly received the delegation, expressing gratitude for their solidarity and the role NULGE plays in keeping the machinery of local governance effective. He pledged his continued support for the union and urged members to remain exemplary representatives of the civil workforce. During the engagement, Comrade Sewanu highlighted critical concerns including sustainable revenue generation, improved infrastructure for NULGE officials, and the challenge of redundancy within the workforce. In attendance at the meeting were the Council Manager, Mr. Oladipupo Otinwa, and a former NULGE executive, Alhaji Monsuru Oludaisi Kazeem, among other dignitaries.
