The annual Ramadan lecture series hosted by His Excellency, Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele, held Sunday 9th March, 2025 at the beach front, ocean drive in Orimedu with the theme "Youth as agent of growth and sustainable development of our community- Islamic perspective" with the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa in attendance. The gathering which was well attended and had the likes of the Member, House of Representatives, representing Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency, Hon. Bayo Balogun and the Lagos State House of Assembly member, Hon. Oladele Ajayi, the immediate past LAHA member representing Ibeju-Lekki constituency 2 Hon. Raheem Kazeem Adewale, the Onimedu of Orimedu, HRM, Oba Yissa Toheeb Toheeb Abidemi Oyedele, Oba Lukman Olayemi Arowolo, Gbadewolu of Araromi, the Iya Oba of Orimedu kingdom, Alhaja Muminat Abiodun Oyedele, the Chief Imam of Orimedu, Imam Alaru in attendance also had the Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo in attendance. Speaking at the event, the guest lecturer Sheikh Imam Jafar Murtada called on youths to be more productive and contribute meaningfully to the society. While hampering on the need to impact positively in their respective communities, the respected cleric said, this will leave a lasting impression in the sands of time. Other clerics also spoke at the lecture series giving deep insights into the actual interpretation of the Holy Month of Ramadan as recitations from the Holy Quaran were recited. Also present were Supervisors, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Moruf Olayinka, Women leaders, Apex leaders, Islamic Clerics and a host of other dignitaries.
