Abdullahi Sesan Olowa described the recruits as our children taking their first steps into a noble and disciplined calling. While recognising them as men and women of the Nigerian Army, he emphasized that they remain the pride of Lagos State as they embark on a rare and privileged journey of national service. He noted that the Nigerian Army is a respected and structured profession and expressed confidence that their decision to enlist places them on a clear path to success. Hon. Olowa encouraged the recruits to remain focused, disciplined, and committed, urging them to uphold the values of excellence and integrity associated with Lagos State. He reminded them that Lagos is the Centre of Excellence and that Lagosians consistently distinguish themselves wherever they serve. He concluded by thanking the Governor of Lagos State, on behalf of his colleagues, for committing resources and providing strategic leadership that expanded awareness and participation among Lagos youths in the national enlistment exercise. He also gave special commendation to the Secretary to the State Government for her exceptional coordination and hands-on leadership in mobilising young recruits across the state, noting that this structured and deliberate effort was instrumental to Lagos State’s strong turnout and successful representation in the intake.
