HON. OLOWA ADVOCATES DATA ACCURACY AND FISCAL TRANSPARENCY

The Chairman of Conference 57, Lagos State, Engr. Abdullahi Olowa on Saturday 17th May, 2026 attended the Stakeholders’ Engagement for the 2026 National Data Verification Exercise organized by the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) at The Providence by Mantis Hotel, Ikeja. The meeting focused on fiscal transparency, accurate data verification, and fair revenue allocation across the country. Stakeholders emphasized the need for Lagos State to receive increased revenue allocation due to its large population, economic importance, and growing infrastructure demands. Speaking at the event, Engr. Olowa assured the RMAFC of the full support and cooperation of Local Governments in Lagos State during the verification exercise. He also expressed confidence that the exercise would strengthen Lagos State’s case for a fairer allocation that reflects its contribution to national development.
