HISTORIC INAUGURATION OF THE 10TH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL OF IBEJU-LEKKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Today marks a significant milestone in the democratic journey of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government as the 10th Legislative Council was officially inaugurated in a ceremony that drew notable dignitaries, party stalwarts, traditional leaders and community representatives. The Legal Officer of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Barr. Lawson Damilola conducted the official swearing-in while the Clerk of the house, Mrs Balogun-Akinfala Oluwakemi Aramide presided over the nomination of principal officers of the newly constituted legislative arm which are; Leader of the house and Deputy Leader Following a transparent and unanimous process as the I had it. The 10th Council Leader, Hon. Olayinka Mojeed Oluwafemi in his speech respectfully, appreciated his leaders for the trust beckon in him to lead this new Legislative Council as he appointed Hon. Zainab Eletu as the 10th Majority Leader and Hon. Sebiu Alaba Lawal, the Chief Whip. In his goodwill address, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of all Council Chairmen in Lagos State, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, congratulated the newly sworn-in Council members and pledged his unwavering commitment to the progress and development of the Local Government under his second-term SHIELD Agenda. He emphasized the need for collaboration and unity among all Stakeholders from political leaders and traditional rulers to civil society and management staff urging them to work hand-in-hand with his Administration to deliver on the promises made to the good people of Ibeju-Lekki. *“We must rise beyond political lines and personal interests to embrace a common purpose the growth of Ibeju-Lekki. Together, we can achieve far more than we did in the last term,”* he affirmed. Dignitaries present at the inauguration are; Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa Executive Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki LG & Chairman, Lagos State Council Chairmen, Hon. Yusuf Olatunji Isiaka Vice Chairman, Member House of Representative, Hon Bayoi Bagun, Hon. Mojeed Fatai Adebola Chief Whip Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Oladele Ajayi Member Lagos State House of Assembly, Apex Leader Hon. Tunde Isiak and all the Apex leaders, Esteemed Royal Fathers and Traditional Chiefs, Party Chairman and Women Leader, Council Manager and Management Staff, CDC Chairman, NULGE Chairman, NYCN, NAILS, and other distinguished guests. The event ended on a high note with renewed hope, as the new Council leadership signaled a new era of legislative dedication, unity and Service delivery to the people of Ibeju-Lekki.
