On the celebration of our 60th independence anniversary today, Thursday 1st October, 2020, I want to happily congratulate every Nigerian. This unique occasion calls for a deep and sober reflection. A reflection on how much we have been able to contribute toward the growth and development of this nation. I want to emphatically state here that we have all got a role to play in the advancement and growth of this great nation, Nigeria. The growth of this great country largely depends on the collective effort of each and every citizen. We cannot grow as a nation if we decide to live in isolation from the common goal of working towards our collective growth. Today's occasion is marked within the period of pandemic. I want to express a huge appreciation to the Almighty God for helping us as a Nation to conquer all the terrible effects connected to this undesirable outbreak. We must remind ourselves that staying safe through the use of nose masks, maintaining social distance and other professional prescriptions serving as our guiding and guarding principles against the pandemic must be adhered to strictly. I pray that God shall continue to lift us as a Nation, empower our leaders at all tiers of government with sound wisdom and knowledge to drive this nation to its desired destination.
