In a significant milestone for traditional leadership and community governance, High Chief (Dr) Adekunle Taiwo, the immediate past Chairman of the Baale in Council, has formally introduced the newly appointed Chairman, High Chief Rosulilahi Adewale Oluwa, to Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area on the 30th January, 2026 The introduction ceremony underscores the seamless transition of leadership within the Baale in Council, a respected body representing traditional rulers (Baales) of towns and villages in Ibeju-Lekki. It highlights the council's commitment to unity, continuity, and collaborative partnership with local government authorities to advance community development. In a chat with the Conference 57 Chairman, Chief (Dr) Adekunle Taiwo, who served with distinction as Chairman, expressed confidence in his successor's ability to build on past achievements. High Chief Rosulilahi Adewale Oluwa, the new Chairman of the Baale in Council, reiterated his commitment to serving the communities as he assured that he will continue to prioritize dialogue, cooperation, and initiatives that uplift the communities while working closely with Hon. Olowa and other leaders to address key challenges. Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa warmly received the new Chairman and commended the council for its orderly transition.
