Traditional rulers, community leaders, security agencies and government representatives converged on Eyin Osa for the Eyin Osa Security Stakeholders' Summit, organised by the League of Chiefs and Baales in Eleiranigbe, Arapagi and Dongo Communities in partnership with the Ibeju Lekki Local Government on 28th June, 2026.
Representing the Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, the Chief of Staff, Mr. Issa Moruf Olayinka, commended the organisers for creating a platform to address security concerns through dialogue and collaboration.
Speaking on the theme, "How to Prevent Bandit and Kidnapping Activities in Our Eyin Osa Community," Mr. Olayinka stressed that security is a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of government, traditional institutions, security agencies and residents. He urged members of the community to remain vigilant, share credible information with security agencies and continue supporting efforts aimed at preventing criminal activities.
The summit featured discussions on practical measures to enhance intelligence gathering, strengthen community policing and improve coordination among all stakeholders in safeguarding lives and property.
The engagement concluded with a shared resolve to deepen collaboration and promote a safer, more secure environment across Eyin Osa and the wider Ibeju Lekki Local Government.
