ASSOCIATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT INTERNAL AUDITORS IN LAGOS: OLOWA BAGGED " OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN PUBLIC FUNDS MANAGEMENT, MAINTENANCE OF INTERNAL CONTROL AND FINANCIAL PROBITY, LAGOS EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT.

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa"s exceptional leadership quality has once again being acknowledged and recognized by the Association of Local Government Internal Auditors in Lagos today Thursday 20th February, 2025. The Mayor, who was presented with the award of "Outstanding Performance in Public Funds Management, Maintenance of Internal Control and Financial Probity, Lagos East Senatorial District. Speaking at the event, the helmsman expressed his appreciation for the award, he however noted that the roles and importance of auditors in every organisation is imperative, and Local Government is not an exception. Addressing participant during the interview, he stated that, one of the fundamental role of an auditor is to come up with policies that will ensure that transparency and accountability of public funds and resources are duly accounted for.
