ASSESSMENT AND FLOOD MITIGATION COMMITTEE INTENSIFY EFFORTS TO IDENTIFY ALL FLOOD PRONE AREAS WITHIN IBEJU-LEKKI.

Amid the ingoing assessment and mitigation against flood and overflow drainages within ibeju-Lekki Communities and its environment, the flood mitigation committee in its drive to collate the data of flood prone areas within ibeju-Lekki Local Government, proceeded in their assignments to UBA Road, Korodo, Beacon House Crescent, olumide odusola street, yomi iwanefu street, Eletu street, Abijan, Mopo, Labora, Owode, idi oro, john sokoya close, irawo-Owuro, Abule-Oluwa GRA, Gbetu, Adeba, Ogunfayo, Adeba Afa kekere, golf, Adeba Oloko phase 3, igbo oloko, amongst other places. The Committee Put together by the Executive Chairman, of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government , Hon.(Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa and headed by Former Lagos State House of Assembly Member, Hon.Raheem were saddled with the responsibility to assess and proffer possible and realistic means to mitigate against flood challenges ravaging the entire communities whenever it rains. The Flood Assessment and Mitigation Ad-Hoc Committee, was constituted by Law to give a comprehensive data base of flood prone areas within ibeju-Lekki and propose possible temporary and permanent solutions to guide against reoccurrence within the respective communities accordingly.
