In line with efforts to enhance security architecture and improve operational efficiency across Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on the 10th June, 2026 donated a Toyota Tacoma operational vehicle to the Eleko Beach Division of the Nigeria Police Force.
The intervention is part of the administration's continuous commitment to strengthening policing capacity in response to the rapid expansion of communities, infrastructure, and economic activities within the local government area.
The vehicle was officially presented at the Council Secretariat and received on behalf of the Area Commander, Area J Command, by CSP Salawu H.U. The Divisional Police Officer of Eleko Beach Division, CSP Nathaniel Ijaola, was also present at the ceremony.
Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Olowa reiterated that the growth of Ibeju-Lekki demands proactive investment in security support systems. He noted that government must continue to provide practical tools that enable security agencies to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging challenges.
According to him, the donation is aimed at strengthening patrol operations, improving mobility, and enhancing the capacity of officers stationed within Eleko Beach and surrounding communities.
In his remarks, CSP Salawu H.U. expressed appreciation to the Chairman on behalf of the Nigeria Police Force, describing the gesture as timely and impactful in supporting operational duties. He assured that the vehicle would be deployed strictly for improved policing and protection of lives and property.
Also present at the event were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji; the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adebanjo Adewale; the Councillor representing Ward A, Hon. Aromire Razaq Abidemi; members of the Executive Council; and senior officials of the local government.
The donation underscores the Olowa administration's continued investment in security partnerships and its resolve to ensure that development across Ibeju-Lekki is matched with strong and effective policing presence.
