Council Boss calls for greater care among Elderly citizens. Members of the NGO, Age Nigeria Foundation, a member of the Global Alliance for Rights of Older Persons (GAROP), today Thursday 27th March, 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa led by the President and CEO of the foundation, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Oluwole, the members comprise Elderly citizens between the ages of 65 and 92. While delivering her speech, the president acknowledged the great efforts of the Council boss particularly in health care and welfare programs. She prayed for the continued success of the administration. Other elderly citizens who spoke were Mrs. Tella Idowu-Deifa, who saluted the efforts of Hon. Olowa in repositioning the Council Secretariat as Mr. Olusoga Oludare equally affirmed the Executive Chairman's complimentary efforts in human capital development. While responding to the elders, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa thanked them for their visit and prayers. He acknowledged their plight as he affirmed that it is a divine act to live long. Speaking further, Hon. Olowa acknowledged that it important to take care of the elderly in the midst of the society as his administration has done a lot in the aspect of provision of health care and welfare for the citizens of the Local Government as he looks forward to a comprehensive database that will capture the accurate figures of the elderly. The Executive Chairman also presented food packs to the aged, an act which led to prayers from the elderly citizens as their faces beamed with smiles
