As part of Measures embarked on to mitigate against flooding during the rainy season, the newly sworn in, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon.(Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa has set up an Ad-Hoc Committee to examine the flood challenges facing each community within ibeju-Lekki Local Government and proffer timely solutions to avert flood during the rainy season. The Ad-Hoc Committee, headed by Hon. Raheem Kazeem Adewale former Lagos State House of Assembly member, took time along with other members of the committee to inspect every community, so as to identify their respective challenges in their report. Some of the community visited during the working visit of the assignment includes Baale and Shapati road, Bogije Road, Elesekan, igbojiya Road, Kajola and Awoyaya road, amongst several others. Members of the Committee include, Hon. Raheem Kazeem Adewale, Chairman of the Committee, Council Engineer and secretary of the Committee, Engr. Kamiyo Adetola Tijani, HOD Environment, Sanitarian Akinola Mary, CTA Environment, Hon. Ajumobi Lateef, CDC Chairman, Mr. Jabita, Engr. Otus, Mr. Gbenga Balogun, Mr. Akorede Ojomu, Engr. Ismaheed Adewunmi, from Ministry of Drainage Service.
