HON. OLOWA SALUTES OBA ORIMEDU ON BIRTHDAY AS HIS ROYAL MAJESTY COMMEMORATES ANNIVERSARY WITH TRANSFORMATIVE SPONSORSHIP OF STUDENTS AND TRADERS EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa was a special guest at the birthday party of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abidemi Toheeb Yissa-Oyedele, an event which held on Tuesday 28th October, 2025 at the Orimedu Palace grounds amid cultural performances and communal prayers. The event, which drew high profile dignitaries such as His Excellency, Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele (Baba Oba of Orimedu), Traditional Royal Majesties also had community leaders, and residents from across Orimedu and neighboring communities in attendance. In his address, Hon. Olowa appreciated the Royal Father as he acknowledged that his reign has attracted a lot of development as he affirmed that the people are indeed proud of Kabiyesi who has brought a new dimension to leadership through his empowerment scheme. Speaking further, in the words of the Council boss "Leadership is not a tea party as His Royal Majesty has sacrificed the comfort of leadership for selfless service". While praying for His Royal Majesty, the Council Boss emphatically stated that, the seed sown concerning the sponsorship of students in higher institutions and the empowerment of traders is indeed taking people out of poverty as he prayed for God's guidance and the wisdom to rule. In his welcome address, His Royal Majesty, Oba Toheeb Abidemi Yissa Oyedele (Oyetu the first) stated that "Education is the cornerstone of our kingdom's future. On this special day, I am reminded of the blessings in my life and the responsibility to extend those blessings to our youth, ensuring they are equipped to lead Orimedu into prosperity." The event concluded with a cultural parade featuring traditional drummers, dancers, and a feast, fostering unity and reflection.
