ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: OLOWA CHARGES TASK FORCE ON ENFORCEMENT AGAINST INDISCRIMINATE DUMPING

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Thursday 21st August, 2025 charged the Environmental Task Force to enforce strict compliance with laws prohibiting illegal highway trading and indiscriminate dumping of waste. While addressing the team, the Chairman emphasized that consistent advocacy and enforcement programmes are key to fostering quick adherence to environmental laws. He encouraged the team to step up their activities and ensure zero tolerance for practices that endanger public health and the environment. Recall that last week, Hon. Olowa released an official pronouncement on his social media handles, urging residents to desist from indiscriminate waste dumping as his administration will embark on a zero-tolerance policy and arrest defaulters.
