Lekki- Epe Residents Stakeholders Association (LERSA)

The Executive Team of the Lekki- Epe Residents Stakeholders Association (LERSA) led by the President , Alhaji Sullyman Bello and the Administrative Head of the American Corner, an initiative of the US Mission in Nigeria, met with the Executive Chairman of ibeju - Lekki Local Government, Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa on 1st April, 2025 at the Council Secretariat in Igando Oloja. The meeting centered its discussion on partnership between the American Corner, LERSA and Ibeju - Lekki Local Government in the areas of youth development, human capacity building and entrepreneurship development . LERSA is a highly reputable community association of residents on the Lekki - Epe Corridor and has been responsible for several social, infrastructural and economic development of the fast growing Lekki -Epe Corridor. The Association is impressed with the activities of Ibeju Lekki Local Government in the area of youth development and has decided to facilitate the partnership with the American Corner, a product of United States Mission in Nigeria . During the meeting , Mayor Olowa spoke about many partnerships and initiatives of the Local Government such as the partnership with the Pan Atlantic University (PAU) and Lagos State Cooperative College (LACOCO) both of which have been acknowledged for their huge positive impacts in the education and empowerment of the young people . The PAU program has benefited over 400 pupils since its inception and many have gained admissions into reputable universities while 6 of the students are currently enjoying full Scholarship in the Pan Atlantic University. In the same vein the Local Government has sponsored about 80 students to acquire certificates in Microfinance study and City and Guild from the Lagos State Cooperative College, Oko Oba, Agege. The American Corner therefore offers additional opportunity and platforms for youths of Ibeju-Lekki to develop thier skills and become empowered .According to the Administrative Head , Mrs Tina Odiette , the center is a product of the US Mission targeted at helping the youths develop their skills in entrepreneurship, ICT, acquire further education in some of the best universities in the United States . Others members of the LERSA Executives who were at the meeting are : Mrs. Oluyemisi Ladi-Sanni, Prince Adewale Taorid Ojora and Mr. Emmanuel Etuk
