IBEJU-LEKKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT SPONSORS 20 YOUTHS TO ACQUIRE TRAINING AND CITY AND GUILD CERTIFICATES IN INDUSTRIAL WELDING, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

The Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa led administration made a major breakthrough on Monday 24th March, 2025 as successful candidates for the Vocational Skills Acquisition in Industrial welding, plumbing and electrical installation resumed today at the Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) for a period of 6 (six) months. The successful students were earlier today accompanied by the Supervisor for Education and Library Services, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan, to the school where they were handed over to the College Provost , Mr Akorede Ojomu. The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Council in partnership with Ade-Otukomaya foundation is sponsoring 15 and 5 students respectively to acquire these skills . At the end of the 6 months training , the students will write for the City and Guild Certification at no cost to them . This Scholarship covers their tuition , accommodation and examination fees. The City and Guilds certificate is an international acclaimed certification for tradesmen which is in high demand both locally and globally. This scheme is aimed at reducing the unemployment among our youths in ibeju lekki .
