OKO-OBA FARMER'S MARKET: NEPZA HANDS OVER TO CONTRACTOR FOR RECONSTRUCTION

The Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) an agency responsible for establishing, licensing, regulating, and operating Free Zones in Nigeria was at Eleranigbe on 13th March , 2025 as the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa was on hand to receive them for the eventual transfer of the Adeniyi-Olorunsogo Market, Oko-Oba Junction to the contractor who'll handle the project. Welcoming the officials, Hon. Olowa thanked NEPZA for helping to revive the market which is known for agro-products processed in large quantities and distributed across the state. In his words, the Executive Chairman said "On behalf of the Government and people of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, I want to thank NEPZA for this opportunity which will help in reviving and boosting agriculture in our Local Government". Mr. Sulaiman Abdulkarim who represented the MD of NEPZA thanked the Executive Chairman for the warm welcome and assured that the market will be a state of the art commercial hub on completion as the contractor, Ease Mountain Nigeria Limited will perform up to expectations. NEPZA he said, is known for providing incentives and support facilities to create an enabling environment for export manufacturing and other commercial activities. Also present were the Councillor representing Ibeju II, Hon. Babatunde Ogungbo, CDC Chairman, Comrade Jabita Adeboye, SA to the Executive Chairman on security, Alhaji Adebanjo Shakiru, Chief Technical Adviser on Communications, Mr. Yemi Azeez.
