HON. ABDULLAHI SESAN OLOWA LEADS HIGH-PROFILE TRIBUTE AS OTS FOUNDATION LAUNCHES WITH GRAND IMPACT: EDUCATION MATERIALS DISTRIBUTED TO SCORES OF PUPILS

In a powerful display of community solidarity and commitment to grassroots development, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, joined distinguished dignitaries on 1st February, 2026 to celebrate the official launch of the Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan (OTS) Foundation, a visionary non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through education and youth empowerment. The vibrant ceremony, which doubled as a celebration of the foundation’s founder Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan’s birthday, drew an array of greater personalities from government, education, and community leadership. Among the notable attendees was Hon. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Lagos State, whose presence highlighted the alignment of the OTS Foundation’s mission with state-wide priorities in educational access and child welfare. Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, in his remarks, lavished praise on Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan for his unwavering dedication to service and community upliftment. “Today, we celebrate not just a foundation, but a beacon of hope led by a true son of Ibeju-Lekki,” Hon. Olowa declared. “Hon. Sofwan’s tireless efforts as a former Supervisor for Education and now through the OTS Foundation exemplify the kind of purposeful leadership that drives real change at the grassroots. I commend this initiative and pledge the continued support of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government to ensure its lasting impact.” The launch event featured a meaningful distribution of essential educational resources to deserving pupils from underserved communities in Ibeju-Lekki and beyond. Beneficiaries received free exercise books, new school uniforms, sandals, and other learning materials, practical support aimed at reducing barriers to education, improving attendance, and fostering academic confidence among young learners. Adding to the joyous atmosphere, a live band entertained guests with uplifting music, turning the occasion into a festive yet purposeful gathering that underscored themes of gratitude, community, and progress. In his keynote address, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan, Founder of the OTS Foundation and former Supervisor for Education in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, delivered an inspiring speech that resonated deeply with attendees: “Distinguished guests, esteemed leaders, beloved community members, and our bright young stars, thank you for being here today. The OTS Foundation is more than an organization; it is a promise I made to myself and to every child who dreams beyond their circumstances. Education is the greatest equalizer, and it is our collective duty to ensure no child in Ibeju-Lekki or Lagos State is left behind due to lack of resources. Over the years, through free JAMB tutorials, form distributions, and consistent empowerment programs, we have seen lives changed and futures unlocked. Today’s launch marks a renewed commitment: to expand our reach, partner more deeply with government and stakeholders, and build sustainable systems that nurture talent and hope. Continuing he stated “On this special day, my birthday, I am profoundly grateful, not for the celebrations, but for the opportunity to serve. Let us continue this journey together, hand in hand, because when our children rise, our communities thrive.” The event reinforced the OTS Foundation’s core focus on educational equity, youth development, and community service, building on its established track record of impactful interventions in Ibeju-Lekki. Other special dignitaries include, Hon. Akorede Ojomu, Current Admin Controller, Lekki Free Zone who also represented His Excellency, Alhaji Kashif Bode Oyedele, Hon. Tosin Osinuga, Hon. M.O. Kazeem, amongst other dignitaries.

IBEJU-LEKKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT DISTRIBUTES 400 FREE JAMB FORMS TO STUDENTS

In a continued demonstration of commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, today Wednesday 18th February, 2026 announced the distribution of 400 free JAMB forms to deserving indigenes and residents of the area who are eager to pursue higher education in tertiary institutions. This initiative represents the fourth edition of the Local Government’s impactful education support scheme. Previous editions have successfully empowered a substantial number of promising youths, enabling many to secure admission into prestigious institutions, including Pan-Atlantic University and various other distinguished universities across the nation. Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa emphasized that investing in education remains a top priority of his administration. “Education is the cornerstone of progress and empowerment,” he stated. “By removing financial barriers through initiatives like this, we ensure that talented young people from Ibeju-Lekki can compete on a level playing field and achieve their academic dreams.” The Chairman expressed pride in the successes recorded from earlier distributions and expressed full confidence that this year’s beneficiaries will uphold the high standards set by their predecessors and continue to make Ibeju-Lekki proud. He urged the recipients to approach the opportunity with seriousness and dedication: “To all the students receiving these forms today: seize this opportunity with determination, prepare diligently, and aim high.
